Right after receiving his Certificate from Capilano, he's been busy doing PA work for films such as Blonde and Blonder, The Two Coreys and Wickerman. He also works as lead grip on videos such as The Ultimate Canucks Fan.
He says If you ever get the chance to PA, do it. You learn so much more and you see how crews actually work together. You see everything you've learned and heard about at Cap come to life on sets. I am confident that you've been told this countless times, but network, network, network. The only time you're ever going to get anywhere in this business is by networking.
And he added this when I contacted him¦.
Hi Dianne. I don't know where this interview came from. I don't remember giving anyone an interview but the information is correct and I don't mind you using it. Only thing about it is that I haven't PA'ed in over a year. I'm in the Lighting Department working as a lamp op, rigger and best boy. That is info you could add if you want. Thanks for emailing me this info. Again, I didn't even know I did an interview.
Hope the film program is going well over there. Take care.

I'm a member of the DGC, but they don't really help you get the jobs, you need to send our resumes and rely on your network of friends and people you know. I like the different types of people I get to work with. I like not having to go to the same place everyday, doing the same job for the rest of my life. I dislike the long hours!
.the spontaneity of the job, the people and working with the actors is really cool.
