School of Motion Picture Arts

Capilano's School of Motion Picture Arts is the academic umbrella under which are to be found all of the film-related programs, such as Motion Picture Production, Documentary, Cinematography, Costuming, Entry Level Craft Training, and the Indigenous Independent Digital Film Program (formerly Aboriginal Film and Television Production).

With more than thirty industry professionals providing instruction, mentoring and guidance, the School of Motion Picture Arts is unique among Canadian film schools, offering an industry-based curriculum, an intensive "hands-on" approach to film making, and the opportunity to develop and produce an increasingly ambitious slate of student films.
