Program Overview
This two-term program is intended to build upon the knowledge and skills acquired in the second year of the Motion Picture Production Program. As well as further explorations in the subjects of film history, screenwriting, producing and directing, special emphasis will be placed on the business aspects of independent filmmaking, such as production accounting, budgeting and financing. This program will also familiarize students with the concept of visual aesthetics, as well as introducing them to the vast array of possibilities available though special and visual effects.

The motion picture industry in BC requires not only skilled, dedicated people to support its multi-million dollar Hollywood production base, but also creative, entrepreneurial film-makers to help build our growing locally-developed production sector.
