About Capilano Film School

The Capilano Film Centre is the home, both physically and conceptually of the School of Motion Picture Arts.  The Film Centre is housed in several buildings across the campus.

The Film Centre Building – Classrooms, Post Production Finishing Suite, Editing Labs, Actor’s instruction and rehearsal studio, and production space.

The Library Building – Classrooms, 2 Editing Labs, Production Space.

The Film Studio – Production Space, Green Screen, Grip and Lighting Equipment Cages, Camera and Sound Gear Storage and Studio (Including Panasonic HD and Red Camera Systems)  Tech Offices and SignOut Desk For All Equipment.

The Maple Building – Costume Design and Workshop Space.

As a conceptual entity, the film centre provides and avenue of liason with BC’s professional film industry and it’s stakeholders and offers both mentorship and material support to grads out to make their mark in the world of independent film.
